Overland Park, KS. - Essential Home Health ,Inc. proudly announces its award of accreditation status by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care, Inc. (ACHC) for the services of Home Health and Hospice.

ACHC, a private, not-for-profit corporation which is certified to ISO 9001:2000 standards, was developed by home care and community-based providers to help companies improve business operations and quality of patient care. Referring to the value of accreditation, ACHC President Tom Cesar indicated, "The survey process leads an organization to examine its policies and practices continually to clarify its strengths and improve its weaknesses."

Accreditation is a voluntary activity where healthcare organizations submit to peer review of their internal policies, processes and patient care delivery against national standards. By attaining accreditation, Essential Home Health, Inc. has demonstrated its commitment to maintain a higher level of competency and strive for excellence it its products, services and customer satisfaction.

• PHYSICIAN ORDERS- Patient's Physician order for home health care and prescribes orders specific to the plan of care for individual patient.

• HOMEBOUND STATUS- The patient stays at home for the most part, or patient cannot leave home without assistance, and /or leaving home takes considerable and taxing effort.

• INTERMITTENT SKILLED CARE- The patient requires short , intermittent care that is provided by one of the following ; a Licensed Nurse, Physical Therapist, Speech Therapist or has a continuing need for Occupational Therapist
