Hospice is a special kind of care for patients and families facing a life-limiting illness or condition.

Hospice goal is palliative than curative. It emphasizes quality of life rather than length of life.

Hospice care focuses on pain and symptom control to enable the patient to live as fully and comfortably as possible.

Hospice treats not only the physical aspect but also emotional and spiritual needs of patients. Hospice supports family and caregivers by offering counseling, training and education.

Hospice Care is not time limited. As long as the patient’s physician and the Care team physician certifies that the patient has terminal illness, the patient may continue to receive Hospice services beyond the 6- month period or less of life expectancy.
