Overland Park, KS. - Essential Home Health ,Inc. proudly announces its award of accreditation status by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care, Inc. (ACHC) for the services of Home Health and Hospice.

ACHC, a private, not-for-profit corporation which is certified to ISO 9001:2000 standards, was developed by home care and community-based providers to help companies improve business operations and quality of patient care. Referring to the value of accreditation, ACHC President Tom Cesar indicated, "The survey process leads an organization to examine its policies and practices continually to clarify its strengths and improve its weaknesses."

Accreditation is a voluntary activity where healthcare organizations submit to peer review of their internal policies, processes and patient care delivery against national standards. By attaining accreditation, Essential Home Health, Inc. has demonstrated its commitment to maintain a higher level of competency and strive for excellence it its products, services and customer satisfaction.

Essential Home Health, Inc. provides a one-stop -shop for patients who need Home Health, Hospice or Private Duty services. The Owners are locals to the Kansas City area and are both Registered Nurses who have been in the healthcare business for over 15 years. The Interdisciplinary Team include the Medical Director, RN's, Home Health Aides, PT's, OT's, Speech and Respiratory Therapists, Social Worker, Dietitians, Chaplain and Volunteers. 1. Administrative/Office Help: This consists of assisting with various simple work at the office site or activities outside the office like fundraising/special events, typing, computer work, filing, copying, etc.

2. Patient Visits: Visits patients at home or elsewhere in the long term care/assisted facility or hospital. Tasks like reading to the patient, playing cards, or simply just being there to have someone for the patient to talk to.

3. Patient's Errands: For example, grocery shopping, going to the post office, accompanying the patient to the beauty shop, doctors visits, etc.
