Food Drive and Be One In a Million Hearts

Give the gift of food or toiletries

All of us celebrated Thanksgiving Day with so much food around us, but there are many people who did not have any means nor can afford to cook even one decent Thanksgiving meal. I thought this is a good time to reflect what we can do for the others so that even after Thanksgiving Day, they can experience and feel what “Thanksgiving” really means.

ESSENTIAL HOME HEALTH, INC. is collecting food, toiletries and clothes for the CATHOLIC CHARITIES of NORTHEAST KANSAS: Here are some list of what they need;
•
Canned and Jar Foods
Suggestions: Vegetables, Soup, Fruit, Peanut Butter & Jelly, Beans, Tuna, Chili
•
Boxed and Bagged Foods
Suggestions: Cereal, crackers, Macaroni and Cheese, Flour, Pasta, Pancake Mix, Rice, Sugar
•
Toiletry Suggestions: Toothpaste, toilet paper, shampoo, etc.
•
Gently used clothes, furniture, household items, used cars, clipped coupons!

All items can be drop off to Essential Home Health Office at; 6811 Shawnee Mission Parkway, Suite 115, Overland Park, KS 66202 I can also pick up if you prefer that, just let me know.

•PROMOTE heart-healthy habits to your patients, such as regular exercise and a diet rich in fresh fruits and vegetables.

•ASK your patients about their smoking status and provide cessation advice and medication when appropriate.

•HELP your patients follow treatment instructions and IMPROVE medication adherence.

•USE health information technology, such as electronic health records and decision support tools, to improve the delivery of care and control of the ABCS.
